Meet Your Instructors
Lindsay Chestnut
Lindsay has worked in our apothecary since 2021 as Production Manager. She has studied formally with the School of Evolutionary Herbalism, and informally with books and at work alongside Julia and the many herbalists who come through our gardens. Her teachings bring forth her passion for empowering individuals to find the natural healer within themselves.
Babi Montenegro
Babi has worked in our apothecary since 2022, preparing medicines and tending to our gardens. She’s also had her own line of herbal medicines and beverages for a few years. Babi is native to Guatemala and is fluent in Spanish and English. Her teachings are practical and full of depth.
Ashley McDonell
Ashley is one of our favorite guest teachers here at the apothecary. Her classes are infused with the wisdom and inspiration she has gathered in her ten years of studying the plants. With her dynamic and engaging teaching style, she will take you wherever you would like to go within the broad discipline that is Herbalism, in English or Spanish. From plant songs to physiology, ceremony to medicine making, she is pleased to hold space for you on your plant path!
Pricing
$100 per person
2-person minimum
The price includes a 3-hour customized herbal workshop, learning materials, access to our incredible apothecary and gardens.
Once we have a headcount for your workshop and add-ons, we will send you an invoice to be paid in full at least 24 hours before the workshop begins.
If, for any reason, you choose to cancel, you may be granted a 50% refund if requested 48 hours before your scheduled time.
If you choose to cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled time, 50% of your payment becomes credit toward future workshops.

Herbal Yoga
A yoga practice to get you into your body and connected with the heart and soul of our plant kin. You will imbibe a tea and/or tincture, and learn the ways of the plants throughout the practice.$25 USD

Temazcal & Cold Plunge
Sweat and cleanse in our sauna, and dunk into cold pools in between the heat. We include an herbal sugar scrub and a strong aromatic tea to steam on the rocks inside the temazcal.$50 USD

Herbal Plant Bath
We have 2 clawfoot tubs tucked privately in the garden that we fill up with piping hot water and aromatic herbs to steep you in the herbs, cleansing your body, mind, and spirit.

Mayan Fire Ceremony
Sit in ceremony with a Mayan Elder to honor the spirit of this land, support the ancestral ways of the local comunity, and receive a personalized Mayan Cosmovision Reading.
